As a performing magician with over 2 decades of experience, Michael Dardant has entertained thousands both on stage with Comedy Magic and up close Sleight of Hand. His original style and creative routines separate him from other magicians and comedians, catching any crowd off guard with his engaging Cajun charisma. A master of the art of audience interaction and a Mike of many trades, this internationally award winning conjuror brings a lot to the table (including the silverware which often falls from his hat).

His entertainment background is a vast array of skills ranging from improvised comedy to pickpocketing and from fire juggling to film acting. Working with a Burlesque Variety Show in New Orleans for 7 years in which the themes change each month has granted Michael the priceless experience of not only working in a big show but also learning to write new routines on a regular basis.

Last year he became the most decorated magician in North America, winning 13 championship awards including 1st place in the I.B.M. Gold Cup Championship and the Grand Prix given for his stage act by the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians who has awarded this honor only 6 times in the last 80 years. In September of 2013, he competed in Quebec City’s International Competition, taking on the challenge of translating his comedy into French and claimed 2 more 1st place titles! In 2014, he will compete for the F.I.S.M. 2015 Qualifiers, which is considered the World Championship of Magic and takes place once every 3 years.

Michael’s unique skill sets has also led to appearances on over 20 different television channels and over a dozen films. His Acting Reel demonstrates a well ranged actor who’s I.M.D.B. Profile continues to be padded with appearances in many of the feature films that have come to New Orleans. He’s most proud of his roles in many New Orleans-based films such as Trailer Park Jesus , winner of 8 awards in 2012 on the festival circuit. Mike demonstrates his improve skills in Statue, which has currently been accepted to over 30 festivals. Dardant realized along the way that he had a creative outlet for writing more than just stage acts. He created a comedy series about life in post-Katrina New Orleans, called Below Sea Level, that is being pitched to networks.

Recognition as a magician has allowed Michael the experience of being a magic consultant as well. He has planned illusions for theater performances such as “Cats” and “Merlin”. He’s also choreographed sleight of hand routines for films like “The Last Exorcism” and “The Lucky One”. Most recently Michael worked with famed professional thief, Apollo Robbins playing a card shark in the movie, “Focus”.
